attention all OSR bloggers: do this now please

Matthew over at Rended Press found a third party way to make blogposts into print friendly PDFs.  Go here for the details.  Took me like a minute and a half to get this up and running.  Don't miss the extra advice in the right hand column for blogger and wordpress specifics.

Matthew, here's that gold star I mentioned on your blog:

  4. bummed, I added it to mine, but it doesn't work for some reason. I'm guessing my template has something to do with it.

  5. Brilliant. Really hope this takes off...altough it will quadruple the not inconsiderable amount of OSR stuff I download!

  6. Done. But if Google sends their men in black 'round to ask about a cross-site scripting attack, I'm fingering you...

  8. Yeah this is pretty great, much easier to print and read blog posts. Done added it myself.

  9. Jeff, just FYI - this seems to work fine on the individual blog post pages, but if you click on it from the blog home page (which displays many blog posts), it does not seem to work correctly.

  10. It doesn't work on blogger pages either I've noticed. Still a very cool feature I hope everyone adds to their blogs.

  16. What and adding supplementary amounts of wild ass to the Majestic Wilderlands wasn't enough ;-)

    Great Find

  20. Fortunately I'm not an OSR blog because I can't do this. Unfortunately the linked item is non-functional for Wordpress.com hosted blogs, just for Wordpress installations where you can upload new plugins yourself.

  21. The upside of it not working for my blog is it encourages me to keep putting my best material into my free monthly PDF 'zine

  22. Done. No problems encountered so far (*touch wood*)

  23. Did it but as of this morning, the response (on my blog on yours) is glacial for the print version. I'm going to give it a while and see how this pans out.

  24. I found that backing up to the previous page once you've gone and created the PDF page is tough - BUT, I found an easy fix. Open that Print/PDF link in a new window. Problem solved. I love this feature. I love it, love it, love it. It's installed on Antediluvian Witchery as of now.

  25. Not working for me. It seems to think the "span" commands are malformed somehow, but damned if I can see it. May poke at this again later.

  26. Is it just me, or is anybody else not getting the print view when using Firefox? it grays out the page but nothing else happens.

(I still think this is a awesome if I can make it work)
