Today's post is a little later than normal because my wife and I spent yesterday celebrating ten years of marriage. That's 3650 days of Amy putting up with my nonsense. Amazing.
Congrats! My best friends (and both players in my BECMI campaign) tied the knot last night in a ceremony concluded by watching the "Creature From the Black Lagoon"! Good times!
@JJ have your friends visit Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park in Wakulla, FL that is where they filmed Creature from the Black Lagoon. There is a hotel and in the fall they have creature fest where they show the movie at night. It s scary because you are sitting on the ground, yards away from 8 and 10 foot long wild and freely wandering alligators.
Congratulations! May it be only the first of many more decades together.
Side note: I dig how in the ship's chapel you've got a display with Jesus on side, a flaming who-knows-what on the other, & presumably a couple more symbols on the other two quarters.
Amusingly enough, only six days later I celebrated my 10th anniversary with my gaming wife, who is apparently at least as patient as you are!
We have a local scifi convention here in Denver that weekend, so we got a nice suite at the hotel and hosted a party. Tammy even found the company that made our wedding cake and had them make a party cake for us. It was delicious!
