old TSR product logos

Most of the titles on older TSR products were pretty pedestrian designs.  Off the top of my head these are my two favorite product logos from back in the day.  Anybody else got any others they like?

  1. I was always partial to the simple old fashioned wood-cutty looking one from the older books. It's on the Ad&D spines for sure and I think a version of it was used on the moldvay basic book covers as well.
I think old timey ice cream places like Farrels used to use it as well.

That spurred a search and I found this cool resource:

  2. I always kind of dug the type from mono-color version of the "Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan" module:

  3. The various Boot Hill titles were good.

  4. Good choices. I don't know that I can think of any headers that compete with those, off the top of my head.

  5. Depends on when the cutoff date is for "back in the day." :) Also, depends on if we're including internal logo-work (like from Dragon or from, very specifically, some of the UK modules).

    1. I didn't have any hard criteria in mind here. If you've got something cool, please share!

  6. The Fiend Folio text looks like something Roger Dean would do.
