Anybody know what the heck a Bathalian is supposed to be?

Also, here's a neat link to a technique of painting minatures called Dipping.
"Yup, that's right. At WotC we're playing OD&D. I read Jeff Rients' report of his Winter War OD&D game, and I had to run the game."

A Bathalian is a Mind Flayer, but it's the non-copyrighted kind. ;)
Thanks, tom!

I am getting this guy and writing a scenario that requires his use. ;)

Bathalian = non-copyrighted Mind Flayer
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
IIRC, there's a mind flayer pirate named Cuttleblack in Green Ronin's Denizens of Freeport. The Bathalian Pirate would be the perfect mini to use for him.
