In the Thing's own series that followed the end of Marvel Two-In-One. I want to say circa 83 or so. It crossed over into Captain America as well, as I recall. There was a lengthy plot arc about the new Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation where to qualify you had to be able to lift at least 1 ton.
