Heh. That made me chuckle. Don't get me wrong, I think OSR dudes are cool enough. But that's a nice, cheeky jab.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should all be taking this a bit less seriously? :)
Well, since those guys were playing 3.5 I don't feel so bad...
ReplyDelete(Word verification: "phonsing" - the act of dialing random numbers from the phone book and serenading the lucky one that answers.)
I used to own that dragon shirt.
ReplyDeleteWell, not that EXACT shirt, but one just like it.
But I bought it because Mikey Whipwreck used to wear it in his early ECW career.
Not the exact shirt I boguht, but one just like it.
I wonder if this guy's wearing Mikey's old shirt? The exact one, I mean.
OOHHH, I finally get to play the word verification game, I have a cool word! "Tumerse."
"It's not a tumerse!"
Man, I told you to stop posting pictures of me. Sheesh!
ReplyDelete(And I echo the sentiment exactly, which is why I've not been feeding the trolls. I'd rather put asses in chairs, dammit!)
(Especially the ones that Evil DM posts every Wednesday...)
Hah! Back up off my dice before you take some damage!
ReplyDeleteThose guys don't play a simple hobbyists game written for the unwashed masses they play a system written for the true RPG professional...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqk0mcpC_WU
I played with a guy who wore that dragon shirt for about a year.
ReplyDeleteThat dragon shirt gets around, because a buddy who played in my campaign for years also owned one just like it (though a tad, eh, smaller).
ReplyDeleteI would totally wear that shirt.
ReplyDeleteI think it's funny wearing some sort of over-the-top Power Metal or Nerd Power T-Shirt when we have our game nights. :D
When GMing or playing 40K, I typically wear my cold-war era "Peace Through Superior Firepower" t-shirt with the uzi on it.
ReplyDeleteI think it sends the proper message to my players/opponents.
Hilarious. And so appropriate. The whole 'what we play is better than what you play' thing makes me want to laugh or vomit at any given moment.
ReplyDeleteNow people will write in to say I should be laughing or the I should really be vomitting. A flame war will erupt over the 'best' reaction.
I have never owned a dragon shirt...I don't even know where one would buy one. Do they sell them at Banana Republic?
ReplyDelete@Barking Alien: Why choose between laughing or vomiting? Do both!
ReplyDeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteHand-drawn rampaging sword-wielding boobiesaurus ftw.
Hahahahaha, fucking perfect.
ReplyDeleteFirst I'm bourgeois, now I'm elite? Man, the OSR is better than being an English major.
ReplyDeleteYou could take that dragon shirt, re-sew the back, cut off the sleeves and cutdown the neckline and make a pretty spiffy stripper dress.
ReplyDeleteIn fact--if anybody has that shirt and is done with it, and wants it to be on tv, just send it to me...
@Zak - it already is a stripper dress... or shirt. Watch the "Fear of Girls" video. :)
ReplyDeleteZak said "spiffy". Just like Jeff.
ReplyDeleteSome day I need to get myself a proper gaming t-shirt with a dragon on it, and if possible with a dungeon too.
ReplyDeleteAye. We rock :)
ReplyDeleteWhere can i buy that sweet dragon shirt???????
