Holy crap, polka!

This morning I planned on blogging about last night's session, but before I logged on I accidentally stumbled upon the greatest TV show in broadcast history: Big Joe's Polka Show! It's a show about polka music run by a guy named Joe, in case the name of the show was too subtle for you.

  1. Much like the Rick Astley video (and associated "Rick Roll" trend), this somehow manages to bridge the otherwise separate worlds of LAME and AWESOME.

  2. Videotape exists of me performing a musical number called "fastest polka in the world" in faux-Victorian clothing before an astonished crowd.

Well, I was probably more astonished than they were.

And greenvesper: those worlds are separated by the thinnest of membranes :)

  4. Hi Jeff, I do not mean to hijack the thread but I know of no other way to contact you.

Several years ago you wrote a piece about my book The Quest. I am the David that wrote to Glenn Reynolds to say I was a Cherokee from New Mexico. Thanks for the rather nice review of my old stuff.

    Cordially,

    David

  6. David: Thanks for stopping by! I don't know if I ever mentioned it, but I got a copy of The Quest not long after I wrote about. I think it's a great piece of work and keep it next to my Arduin books.

Set: Thanks for the link! Weird Al rules!
