Back in April I asked the geomorph makers in the Old School Ruckus to try to come up with vertical geomorphs, showing side-view dungeons instead of the normal overhead view. Some very nice folks took up that challenge. Today I thought I'd give you a little look at what I've done with them.
That's a thumbnail version of a much larger dungeon. I don't dare show more, as I'm thinking about using this for a tentpole dungeon, possibly for some online gaming. I'm mainly sharing to show all the geomorph makers that I wasn't kidding around when I made the suggestion to start drawing these things. Thanks to all you talented geomorphers!
EDIT TO ADD: Get your own vertical geomorphs here.

I do not like the pastry on these mince pies at all. AT ALL. Crunchy and
far too sugary (which doesn't help with the crunch), I suppose at least
it's not t...
that is pretty nice
ReplyDeleteWow...be sure to reconsider posting a larger copy!
ReplyDeleteit's the fabled endless stair
ReplyDeletecool, do you have links to these vertical geomorphs?
ReplyDeleteTent pole? Hells yeah.
ReplyDeleteYou need a blackmoor/greyhawk/dwimmermount style signature megadungeon. That'd be wicked.
That looks so fantastic, but any attempt on my part to keep track of any horizontal dimension whatsoever with something like that would result in my aping out from frustration and inability to comprehend what the hell was going on.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very inspiring elevation, Jeff: I'll have to dig into the vertical geos to see if they can help me to recreate my Castle Greyhawk in profile :D
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Allan.
Any chance you can send a copy of this privately so that your potential players don't see?
