Hmm. Mr. Mishler took my guess on the name, so I'll put up 'No space for background/history' - there's not even a spot for putting down what country they're from.
Alternately, I see you've left out a spot for the character's age... or any sort of description.
I'm still stumped ... I see (or rather don't see) a few things I might put on an OD&D sheet that aren't here (Spells, frex, but that could be an example of "Other Abilities" and make the sheet more universal), but I can't begin to guess what kind of omission would be intentional vs. unintentional ... (my only solid guess was "hit points," and someone took care of that for me) :)
Sorry, folks. There isn't a single right answer here. I'm looking for all y'all's opinions of what I omitted that should be on the sheet. That's why I specified unintentional omissions. That wasn't meant to be a trick question, but I guess I could have phrased it differently
James: I am using the JG social level chart for Ready Ref sheets.
Wulfgar: Next of Kin is a good one. You wouldn't want a PC to die without an heir! Thanks. Mr. Fiala has given me some stuff to work with, too.
S. John: Yeah, since this draft was meant for all possible race and class combo's, I decided to lump spell abilities into the 'Other' category.
what I've heard is that the ability scores are ordered the way they are because that's the order of the prime req. for each class in the order they were created:
STR- fighting man INT- Magic User WIS- Cleric DEX- Thief CON- no class CHA- no class

No room for hit points?
ReplyDeleteGood guess, but no. Hit points are an intentional omission, as they are not a fixed trait under my rules.
ReplyDeleteI got my actual No-Prize for spotting something odd about a drawing of Nightcrawler, and that was a lot easier than this ;)
ReplyDeleteHow many days 'til we get a hint?
No location for the player's name?
ReplyDeleteSo are you using the Hierarchy/Social Level system from Judges Guild? It kinda looks that way... or maybe something derived therefrom?
ReplyDeleteno designated location for a character sketch or for a next of kin.
ReplyDeleteNo d20 logo.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Mr. Mishler took my guess on the name, so I'll put up 'No space for background/history' - there's not even a spot for putting down what country they're from.
ReplyDeleteAlternately, I see you've left out a spot for the character's age... or any sort of description.

(my only solid guess was "hit points," and someone took care of that for me) :)
ReplyDeleteHelp me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

S. John: Yeah, since this draft was meant for all possible race and class combo's, I decided to lump spell abilities into the 'Other' category.
So do we all get a no-prize?
ReplyDeleteHmmm... So in OD&D, the order is STR, INT, WIS, CON, DEX, CHR?
ReplyDeleteIn Moldvay Basic, it was STR, INT, WIS, DEX, CON, CHR.
I wonder what, if any, reasons account for the difference.
- Brian
what I've heard is that the ability scores are ordered the way they are because that's the order of the prime req. for each class in the order they were created:

Jeff, I think you've left off the Saving Throw stat for "Puns".
ReplyDeleteYou didn't list Electrum pieces on the Loot List!
ReplyDeletehmmmm....digging out an old character sheet here....
ReplyDeleteComeliness? (it's nice if you want to separate looks from personality)
space for character description? (height, weight, age, skin/eye/hair colour, general build)
space for miscellaneous extra notes that are useful on the character sheet?
....that's all I got :)
I don't see an AC 10 in the "To Hit" column (though, perhaps that was intentional).
ReplyDeleteThat because in OD&D AC starts at 9
ReplyDeleteAlignment?
ReplyDeleteIf that's not a dirty word around here...
Nope. Alignment's two lines below Character Name.
