No room for hit points?
ReplyDeleteGood guess, but no. Hit points are an intentional omission, as they are not a fixed trait under my rules.
ReplyDeleteI got my actual No-Prize for spotting something odd about a drawing of Nightcrawler, and that was a lot easier than this ;)

ReplyDeleteSo are you using the Hierarchy/Social Level system from Judges Guild? It kinda looks that way... or maybe something derived therefrom?

ReplyDeleteHmm. Mr. Mishler took my guess on the name, so I'll put up 'No space for background/history' - there's not even a spot for putting down what country they're from.
ReplyDeleteAlternately, I see you've left out a spot for the character's age... or any sort of description.
I'm still stumped ... I see (or rather don't see) a few things I might put on an OD&D sheet that aren't here (Spells, frex, but that could be an example of "Other Abilities" and make the sheet more universal), but I can't begin to guess what kind of omission would be intentional vs. unintentional ... (my only solid guess was "hit points," and someone took care of that for me) :)

Sorry, folks. There isn't a single right answer here. I'm looking for all y'all's opinions of what I omitted that should be on the sheet. That's why I specified unintentional omissions. That wasn't meant to be a trick question, but I guess I could have phrased it differently

Wulfgar: Next of Kin is a good one. You wouldn't want a PC to die without an heir! Thanks. Mr. Fiala has given me some stuff to work with, too.
S. John: Yeah, since this draft was meant for all possible race and class combo's, I decided to lump spell abilities into the 'Other' category.
So do we all get a no-prize?
ReplyDeleteHmmm... So in OD&D, the order is STR, INT, WIS, CON, DEX, CHR?
ReplyDeleteIn Moldvay Basic, it was STR, INT, WIS, DEX, CON, CHR.
I wonder what, if any, reasons account for the difference.

what I've heard is that the ability scores are ordered the way they are because that's the order of the prime req. for each class in the order they were created:
ReplyDeleteSTR- fighting man
INT- Magic User
WIS- Cleric
DEX- Thief
CON- no class
CHA- no class
Jeff, I think you've left off the Saving Throw stat for "Puns".

I don't see an AC 10 in the "To Hit" column (though, perhaps that was intentional).
