HmmmYes. Jolly good show, eh what?
ReplyDeleteI bally need to get a copy of his album.
I hope somewhere there's a version with subtitles.
ReplyDeleteOkay... several re-plays later, and looking at some of his other work...
ReplyDeleteThis is my new favorite song-smith. Bravo!
I first got turned onto him by The Davenport Sisters with "Let Me Smoke My Pipe", but "Straight Out of Surrey" is still my favorite by him.
ReplyDeleteThat said, listen to The Clockwork Cabaret on Mondays...best amateur radio out there.
I'm sure that banjo backing track is by Robert Crumb's band...I think it is on the CD you get with The R. Crumb Handbook but I don't have it on hand to check.
ReplyDeleteHa, no slim shady but not half bad. Very metal in a proper sort of way.
