your daughter named her new elephant Fred Fredburger...?
ReplyDeleteJeff, I think it's time you had a talk with that girl. It behooves you both that she understand that she should only use her powers for good, unless she can use them for awesome.
Best. Elephant name. Ever.
ReplyDeleteTo me, "Fred Fredburger" has something of the same ring as the name of my cousins' beagle, "Barnald J. McNurtney" (usually called Barney.)
She actually named him after this guy. We watch a lot of Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy at our house.
ReplyDeleteI've caught some episodes of Grim Adventures (awesome show!) But I'd somehow missed Fred Fredburger. Your daughter made a really good call on the name; the picture at that link shows the resemblance well.
ReplyDeleteIMHO the first Fred Fredburger appearance, the double-length "Keeper of the Reaper" is one of the funniest cartoons ever made. I literally laughed so hard it hurt the first three times I saw it. After the first viewing I immediately got online, went to Cartoon Network's website, and sent them an email requesting more Fredburger.
ReplyDeleteHis second episode was pretty much a letdown. Le sigh.
I honestly have no idea how I wound up at this post - I was just looking though my traffic logs and clicked the link and here I was. Anyway, it must be kismet because my wife won that elephant's cousin from a crane game many years ago. We've always adored him because he looks like he just got caught piddling on the floor.
