So I got smoked three times last night with three different games. Ticket to Ride and San Juan I had played before and should have been able to do better than a distant third in a field of three players. The other game we played, Ostia, was new to me and I fumbled through it as best I could. What I really like about Ostia is that is has a "big reveal" phase where everyone discovers just how badly the players have inadvertently screwed each other over. You sold Red cards, too? Crap! We saturated the market! With the right group that can be a lot of hootin' and hollerin' fun.
