You know a list like this brings back memories of the 1st edition Gamma World random treasure charts. They has a lot of useless items that the party would spend hours trying to determine if it did something useful. Not to mention people would find uses for them that they were not designed for.
ReplyDeleteJames: Sure, Chicago in the World Series causes the Apocalypse only if there were playing the pre-2003 Boston Red Sox.
ReplyDeleteIn that case, neither team would have won but the world would have ended after the 3-2 pitch on out 3 in the bottom of the ninth inning of game 7 but before it reached the plate.
Now, a 2003 Boston-Chicago World Series tee shirt on the table...
We almost faced this pitch in 2003 but were saved by a self-sacrificing Chicago fan.
I loved the 1st ed. Gamma World random charts. Had a player carry around a broken fishing rod that he was sure was some sort of beam weapon, based on the description I gave him ... :-)
ReplyDelete34. Fruit cake still wrapped with a card saying Happy Holidays -Aunt Hazel
ReplyDelete35. Soup in old style can.
ReplyDeleteNow where did I put that can opener!!
That became one of the best Gamma World side adventures we ever had.
