The zoom-in maps of products like "Iuz the Evil" et al do have the sort of minor features that couldn't make it on the wonderful Darlene maps without turning it into a hopeless clutter.Secular Transhumanisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16793034218287755156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-62889736269426444822008-08-07T17:11:00.000-05:002008-08-07T17:11:00.000-05:00They do, but they're jammed with tourists this tim...They do, but they're jammed with tourists this time of year. If you really want to get away you need to pack the RV and head a couple of hexes inland to the Jewel River; there are some great little villages along there and they'll put you up in their hayloft for a few coppers; it's really rustic. Just don't overdo it o the duty-free mead; it doesn't taste as potent as it is; a few flagons in and suddenly you can't feel your feet!S. I prefer terrain not to conform to hex boundaries. I also like that the JG maps have a variety of small terrain features compared to many other maps (Greyhawk included) which seem to only show large expanses (though the Mystara maps I think are worse, where it seems several whole countries are a single terrain).

FrankFrankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15855679156477779666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-29159122954988328182008-08-07T09:57:00.000-05:002008-08-07T09:57:00.000-05:00Those Greyhawk maps are the Platonic ideal of camp...Those Greyhawk maps are the Platonic ideal of campaign maps.James Maliszewskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00341941102398271464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-65296941941414799082008-08-07T08:22:00.000-05:002008-08-07T08:22:00.000-05:00I don't know that I could ever run a Greyhawk camp...I don't know that I could ever run a Greyhawk campaign again, but the Darlene maps make me want to try.Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10856299661187809371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-31245943835591375932008-08-07T01:20:00.000-05:002008-08-07T01:20:00.000-05:00Can't go wrong with one of the loveliest maps in t...Can't go wrong with one of the loveliest maps in the history of delving :)S.
