It is my own personal ur-D&D so I take it more seriously than any other edition. fantasygamebook has pretty much the right of it. Also, if the PC encounter 3rd level fighter in an NPC party in year 2 of the campaign, what is that same guy up to when they meet him again in year 4? I wanted to see the possibilities.

fgb: Yes, I will be doing the demihumans. Though they appear far less in the book.

James: Page X7, "Fighters with enough money may build a castle" full stop. The 5th level was an omission.Jeff Rientshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17493878980535235896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-58544966089234644492011-08-13T04:12:10.015-05:002011-08-13T04:12:10.015-05:00Jeff - what's the source for 'Build a Cast...Jeff - what's the source for 'Build a Castle' being there all the way from 1st level (excluding it seems, 5th. Typo?). I can't see a 1st level fighter building one due to lack of funds, so I'm interested as to where that comes from.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01117441190387604775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-3078404112545450612011-08-12T22:48:38.150-05:002011-08-12T22:48:38.150-05:00So it's like a "plausible demographics&qu...So it's like a "plausible demographics" thing?Zak Sabbathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08812410680077034917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-46019034159823620342011-08-12T22:23:51.562-05:002011-08-12T22:23:51.562-05:00Thanks for continuing these lists - I just stumble...Thanks for continuing these lists - I just stumbled upon them and I think they're brilliant.

Zak: My use for these lists would be:

a) To give you an idea of what any random NPC might be doing relative to his class and level.

b) When you're creating a settlement or community, you can look at these lists and think, "Okay, so how powerful would the local lord/priest/wizard/thief boss be?"

IMHO, it's lile a deconstruct of the original B/X to give you the closest thing D&D has to the career paths of Warhammer FRP.

Jeff: Do you plan on doing them for the demihumans?

cheers

Andyfantasygamebookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05240994072742026340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-26794852033822300172011-08-12T20:39:28.071-05:002011-08-12T20:39:28.071-05:00Can you go into your reasoning on writing the to-d...Can you go into your reasoning on writing the to-do lists a little more?
