(first hex would be free, right?)

Oh. Maybe cannons should be full effect broadside, maybe can't assign the largest die to shoot ahead or astern.

Anyway, it's fun to tinker with someone else's project.

Finally, totally loving the ineptitude and miscommunication rules. Maybe one of the Fleet Captain perks could be a big holographic switcheroo, something like "exchange for each other any two or more of the ships that have not yet engaged the enemy".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-71090915518206164132011-09-08T20:19:44.330-05:002011-09-08T20:19:44.330-05:00These rules could be easily adapted to old school ...These rules could be easily adapted to old school blue water and sails ...

Just add a rule for choosing wind direction,

keep Move exactly the same,

make Drift = Slowness and always in the direction of the wind, sideslip also only in the direction of the wind,

switch out "shields" in favor of "boarding party"

specify "cannons" for weaponry

I think that might do it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-14693944235728443752011-09-08T13:32:36.594-05:002011-09-08T13:32:36.594-05:00Very exciting Jeff, definitely going to have to gi...Very exciting Jeff, definitely going to have to give this one a shot once it's all finished!O.
