I remember getting a bunch of the Blackstar action figures for Christmas and none of my friends knowing who he was. My friends were idiots.

I picked up the DVD set this past winter at a discount bookstore for $6 new! Really solid, quality toys. I really wish I still had mine... they were about two inches bigger than the Masters of the Universe, and each figure came with 1) a small arsenal of glow-in-the-dark weapons, and 2) a minature trobbit figurine(good guy figures) or a kick-ass snarling little goblin (bad guy figures). They were made out of a different plastic than other boy's toys of the time, too... it was lighter, had a kind of soapy feel, and a weird smell. I remember my brother and I sniffing them in a stupid, half-hearted attempt to get high.

Good times, good times.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-22371548706620008482009-07-23T15:40:22.994-05:002009-07-23T15:40:22.994-05:00Well, he's not little anyway.Well, he's not little anyway.Matthew Slepinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04056247825064943944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-23386208588080634852009-07-23T15:22:35.435-05:002009-07-23T15:22:35.435-05:00What, you don't think Ookla is cute? What, you don't think Ookla is cute?Doug Easterlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07861680803540365438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652921.post-62912325162464832172009-07-23T15:04:30.438-05:002009-07-23T15:04:30.438-05:00Awesome as Blackstar is, I find that I can't r...Awesome as Blackstar is, I find that I can't really stomach the Hob...er, Trobbits anymore.
